Now this is an attention-getter: “Smokey and the Bandit” is being remade for television by MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door studio and David Gordon Green, who directed “Halloween.”
Not for boomers like me who watched the original motion picture 10 times the first week of release. Who could replace Big Enos?
MacFarlane, brightest guy in TV, watched hours of TikTok and said this is not brainless shameless programming. He surmised the viewer wants swagger, sass, and fun. Bandit. Figure out what customer block is not buying and why.

IPO Glow—Mark my word, the release of Airbnb’s IPO prospectus will be Thursday, no later than Friday. Ahead of blockbuster listing that will raise around $3B at a $30B valuation. I’m not in.
