Daily Deal—Inspire Brands cofounder Paul Brown pulled off a miracle, not just in the minnow swallowing the whale buying Dunkin’ Brands, but he actually got NY bankers to fly to Atlanta. $11.3 billion reasons and a big deal in the Southland.
Brown's deal justification—added over 28,000 additional distribution points to his current brand portfolio of Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic, Rusty Taco, Jimmy John’s, all of which will soon be serving a certain brand of coffee.
Florida will count its results relatively quickly, by 10:30 PM ET. Pennsylvania could be days. If is razor thin, Supreme Court will clear its “shadow docket,” hearings on emergency cases and by the way all are transparent as mud with usual one-line orders, or even one letter. W.
If Biden or Trump wins Fla, by more than two points, he’s president. Be in bed before 11 PM. No major post-election dustups.

IPO Glow—Mavenir, a Richardson, Texas-based, cloud-native software company, withdrew plans to raise $275 million in an IPO. Hit a ceiling on every Tom, Dick, and Harry going public.
ANT Group IPO postponed by Shanghai Stock Exchange after regulators summoned Jack Ma and top execs to meeting.
Entries/Exits—After 13 years with ad agency CPB, the pizza chain is jumping ship for WorkInProgress. You guessed it—was founded four years ago by a bunch of former CPB employees who’d worked on the Domino’s account. Non-competes ended Oct 1st but real problem is lazy senior team.
Surprise. CDC lifts pandemic cruising ban but don’t expect ships to sail right away.
Among other things, CDC will require mock voyages with volunteers playing as passengers to test cruise lines’ ability to curb the spread of COVID-19. Like we have all the money in the world. Carnival just sent ships Fantasy and Imagination to Turkey to get dismantled and sell for scrap and parts. Already sold their grand pianos.
The Hershey Company acquisitions of brands, including SkinnyPop, Pirate Booty, and ONE Brands, have positioned it to become a “snacking powerhouse.” Since the pandemic, percentage of consumers that snacked three or four times a day was 47%, up from 43%. Have we heard one doctor say that is not a good idea even if you rightfully wear a mask and wash your hands.
Had dinner in Decatur—they prefer hazmat suits.
